The story of Bad Prosecutor is about a weird and stubborn prosecutor named Jin Jung. He works at the Central District Office and is pretty much a troublemaker for all. No doubt in the fact that his intentions are all good but his actions smell of trickery and plotting. Jin Jung believes that this world has been corrupted to the core and that matters can’t be made straight without some meddling. The real fun starts when he gets the case of murder. Jin has a special interest in murder and fraud cases because they have a certain kick in them. They aren’t easy to solve and are twisted. In this one, Jin has found the fingerprints of the killer (most probably). Don’t you think it should eventually lead to the killer facilely? Well, the twist is, whoever the killer was, that person was left-handed while the fingerprints are of a right-handed person. Before Jin could investigate further, the case was allotted to Prosecutor Oh Do-hwan.

This infuriates Jin who confronts his chief Prosecutor Lee. It turns out that Prosecutor Chief Lee was actually a helping hand in this but Jin has no clue to prove this. Nonetheless, Jin fulfills his duty by catching the culprit at the airport. However, all flights got delayed for which he is taken into police custody. There, Oh Do-hwan counterargues Jin about his actions and he believes that Chief Lee was involved. With the help of the witness arrested, Oh Do and Jin finds the USB which holds the pictures of the murder. Jin again tries to pull out information from Prosecutor Lee but he doesn’t give a clear answer and asks him to meet at another place. There, a masked man attacks Jin Jung and injects a drug into him. Jin soon tries to get home but on the way bumps into the car in which Prosecutor Lee (apparently) committed suicide.

All this worsens matters as Jin Jung is determined it wasn’t a suicide but a murder. The autopsy report proves the former but Jin Jung pleads to Lee’s daughter to request another autopsy and she listens to him. Through the second autopsy report, the reality shines bright eventually. It was a cold-blooded murder! With that, the new Chief Prosecutor of the Crime Department is Kim Tae-ho. Guess what happens next? Oh Do arrests Jin Jung for the murder of Prosecutor Lee!
