The S1 of The Uncanny Counter made us familiar with four watchful demon hunters, known as the Counters, are tasked in Jungjin with finding and banishing evil spirits, known as akgwi. These evil spirits are trying to attain immortality by escaping the realm of the dead. Human hosts who have murderous tendencies are possessed by these creatures, who increase their appetites hence they consume the souls of their victims. The voyage of the Counters begins when a spirit from Yung, linking the world of the living and the world of the dead, merges with them.
