Is ONF Famous?

The domestic band ONF is gaining hype and popularity robustly. In very less time, this band has reached the top charts and is coming head-to-head with notorious ones like TXT, SEVENTEEN, MONSTA X, etc. It feels as if they just debuted yesterday! However, their struggle and hard work since 2017 are now beginning to pay off. Hyojin, Wyatt, E-Tion, MK, J-Us, and U (band members) are now stars in the world. These boys have tried to take on the hard road in order to catch the attention of Kpop lovers around the world and to the most extent, they are on the right track!

Journey of ONF Band?

ONF stands for On and Off. The six boys dived into the music industry fame pool in a very distinct manner after being at the show “Road to Kingdom.” They got the second position. At first, there were seven members in the ONF band but six are left as Laun left in 2018 due to some personal reasons. Getting back to our topic that why the band took up the name ONF and why are they being so popular in such less time? Let us dive into detail, actually, the ONF band has been divided into two groups. Hyojin, E-Tion, and MK are in the ON group while J-Us, Wyatt, and U. Hyojin are in the OFF group. In order to maintain balance, J-Us is the leader of both of them.

The debut EP ON/OFF was a hit that wasn’t been expected. It was No. 9 on the Gaon Albums Chart. Even Billboard recognized it in the top 10 Korean acts of the year. All in all, their debut year 2017 went smoothly and loaded with success. In the summer of 2018, the second EP You Complete Me was out. This song allowed them to step into Japanese music too. To be honest, they did a pretty amazing job. This motivated the boys of ONF and they were in action in 2019 again with two new EPs We Must Love (single) and GO LIVE album. Followed by it was EP GO LIVE which was as we all thought, an international success.

Being Road To Kingdom doubled the rate of their success and the boys were determined to reach the top. The fifth EP titled SPIN OFF was grand and was happily welcomed by fans all around the world. Next came the point for which we all were waiting! ONF launched its first studio album titled ONF: My Name. Although there are eleven tracks in it but we all couldn’t get over with even one! The songs gained millions of views within days not weeks. Each song turned out to be a hit and was on the lips of everyone. Soon after in the summer, the first studio album, City of ONF containing three tracks was onboard. For the first time, ONF got to be a part of Billboard's top 10 most selling songs list. This was without a doubt, the craziest part of their career.

Where Are ONF Band Members Now?

Unfortunately, they all are completing their military training. Yes, the band members of ONF decided to go for military training together and united. The last and farewell-bidding track from our affectionate boys is Goosebumps. These goosebumps are going to remind us all about the six great boys until their return to the Kpop world again. We’ll be able to see them soon as 18 months would fly by. All of them joined as military soldiers by 27 December 2021, so we have to wait for their return!

E-Tion

E-Tion’s real name is Lee Chang Yun and as a lead vocalist, he is always very vigilant about his diet. He prefers to eat simple and non-spicy things. Nonetheless, he is crazy about fashion and loves shopping. Don’t you two share this trait? E-Tion is someone who prefers to work with the mind and this is why he is usually called a perfectionist.

Wyatt

Wyatt is actually Shim Jae Young and the main rapper, lead dancer, and vocalist. He is more into music and has given seven years of his life to training for where he is today. Wyatt has a melodic voice and he desires to polish it with time. Apart from this, he wants to be brave enough to fight everything but in reality, he isn’t.
