WHAT’S BUSINESS PROPOSAL ABOUT?

The plot of Business Proposal is tangled around the presence of its four protagonists Kang Tae-moo, Shin Ha-ri, Cha Sung-hoon, and Jin Young-seo. Let’s start with Kang Tae! He is the CEO of Go Food company located in South Korea and is obsessed with work. Most of the time, he is found in his office working to bring the company on the top. His secretary and best friend Cha Sung is very much like him. But, he’s submissive, shy, and friendly in nature. Now, let’s look out for our female protagonists! Shin Ha belongs to a lower-class family. She is desperate to make the living conditions for her parents more favorable. For this, Shin Ha works as a researcher at Go Food during the day and helps her mother in the chicken restaurant afterward. Last but not least is Jin Young. She is the heir to a famous Marine group and the best friend of Shin Ra.

Jin Young’s father set a blind date for her with the most eligible bachelor Kang from the Go Food group. He wants his business to flourish with his daughter’s marriage to a wealthy family. Jin is not ready to marry someone who she doesn’t love. For this, she asks Shin Ha to go in her place as Jin and shoo the boy away by scaring him. As soon as Shin Ha reaches the restaurant, she sees that the boy is none other than her boss Kang. This elevates her fear to lose her job. So, Shin Ha doesn’t misbehave but still Kang likes her. The date gets finished without much deliberation from both side. But, they meet again and this time, Kang finds out that Shin Ha is not Jin Young and so he questions her real identity. Shin lies again as she doesn’t want to lose her job and says that her name is Shin Geum-hui and for betraying him, Kang gives an offer to Shin Ha which she cannot decline. He offers her a hefty amount of money in return for Shin Ha being his fake girlfriend just to satisfy his grandfather.

Things go on this way and Shin Ha plays her role in the office and in date life. Next to that is Jin Young who leaves her father’s house as he wants her to marry someone rich for the sake of business. Her new apartment makes her the neighbor of Cha Sung. He tries to avoid her because she was the one who plotted the wrong date against his best friend. But, Jin Young has a strong infatuation with him and her personality keeps attracting Cha Sung. In all this chaos, Shin Ha becomes close and dear to Kang’s grandfather too. For the first time in his life, he realizes the reality of love. At that moment, Kang’s attention shifts to one of his employees because of whom his company’s profits touch the sky. The researcher is none other than Shin Ha. This news breaks his heart and…
